Daniel Steels Manufacturing LLC fabricates under the ASME “U” Stamp and the National Board “R” Stamp, with welders qualified to ASME Section IX and procedures for AWS D1.1, ASME B31.3 and ASME B31.1. Every project carries documented material traceability.
Certifications and what they mean for your project
These are not marketing labels. Each credential defines a scope of work the shop is authorised to execute, and the documentation the client receives at the end of it.
Credential
Scope
What it guarantees
ASME "U" Stamp
Fabrication of new pressure vessels under ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII Division 1.
Vessel design, materials, welding and testing meet the code, with a Manufacturer's Data Report.
National Board "R" Stamp
Repairs and alterations of pressure-retaining items, in the shop or in the field.
The repair is executed and documented to National Board requirements.
ASME Section IX
Welder and welding procedure qualification.
Every welder is qualified for the process and position being used.
AWS D1.1
Structural steel welding.
Structural welds follow the code for buildings and industrial structures.
ASME B31.3
Process piping.
Piping is designed, fabricated and tested for process service.
ASME B31.1
Power piping.
Piping is designed, fabricated and tested for power and utility service.
Quality control through the build
Inspection is planned before the first cut, not added at the end. Each stage produces a record that goes into the project dossier.
Stage
Control
Record
01
Material receiving
Mill test reports checked against specification and heat numbers.
02
Material identification
Positive material identification (PMI) where the specification requires it.
03
Fit-up
Dimensional check of spools, shells and structural assemblies before welding.
04
Welding
Qualified WPS and welder performance qualification; weld maps maintained.
05
Non-destructive examination
Visual, PT, MT, UT or RT as specified by the design code.
06
Pressure testing
Hydrostatic or pneumatic test per code, with calibrated gauges and signed charts.
07
Final documentation
QC dossier, MTRs, NDE reports, test records and as-built drawings.
Safety, environment and community
Safety is the first filter on every job: strict protocols, ongoing training and a goal of zero accidents and incidents. Environmental responsibility drives waste reduction, energy conservation and the use of eco-friendly materials wherever the specification allows. The company also supports local and charitable organizations in the communities where it operates.
Safety first
Strict protocols and continuous training for every crew.
Quality
Rigorous control from raw material to final testing.
Environment
Waste reduction, energy conservation and sustainable practices.
Community
Support for local initiatives and charitable organizations.
Certification questions
Do you build new pressure vessels?
Yes. New pressure vessels are fabricated under the ASME “U” Stamp to Section VIII Division 1, with the corresponding Manufacturer’s Data Report.
Can you repair an existing vessel or piping system?
Yes. Repairs and alterations are performed under the National Board “R” Stamp, in the shop or at the plant site.
What documentation is delivered with a project?
Depending on scope: mill test reports, weld maps, WPS/PQR records, NDE reports, pressure test charts, dimensional reports and as-built drawings.
Are welders qualified for the code being used?
Welders are qualified to ASME Section IX, with procedures established for AWS D1.1 structural welding and ASME B31.3 / B31.1 piping.
Need a code-compliant fabrication partner?
Send the scope and the applicable code; we will confirm the certification path before quoting.
